Why am I taking part

Starlight’s mission is to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families Australia-wide. As an adult, hospitals are rather formidable and I couldn’t imagine what it must be like for a child and their family. Having supported this charity for a number of years by also volunteering my personal time and working in the Starlight Express Room, I have had insight into this life and I’m humbled having had the opportunity to work alongside the amazing staff and Captain Starlight, a magical superhero from the Planet Starlight (it’s true!) to help normalise a child's experience going into and staying in hospital. I will be taking part in Tour De Office and cycling to raise funds for this incredible charity. Funds raised will enable Starlight to continue to inspire the imaginations of sick kids, helping them to escape from the pain, fear and boredom of being in hospital for long periods of time. We know there's more to treatment than medicine and that’s happiness and laughter! The more money I raise the more smiles we together can put on a child’s face!! Thank you for your support.
